They paddle and splash in the water, they make footprints in the sand, they sit and stare at the lights in the bay. It is a night they will always remember, just the two of them together by the big big sea. Martin Waddell has also written "Can't You Sleep, Little Bear?" This is a gorgeous book for children but particularly for mum's to read to their daughters. There is a line in it about "that's what life should always be like" that brings a lump to my throat everytime I read it ...... my daughters say my voice goes funny when I read that line!!! Buy this book and cherish it.
