Very Good. (Essay) "The Pen in the First Person (For the Drawings of Saul Steinberg) by Italo Calvino. Oblong 4to. Unpaginated. Full page reproductions in B & W and in color. Printed on coated paper. Original stiff white French-style wrappers with color Steinberg reproduction front. Some scattered foxing, primarily top edge and endpapers else this is very good plus.
Near Fine. The catalogue of an exhibition of Steinberg's watercolors. With 17 color plates and many more black-and-white reproductions. With an essay by Italo Calvino. The late artist is probably best known for his New Yorker covers. First edition (first printing). White covers just a bit grubby, else near fine in wrappers (paperback). Signed Steinberg on the half-title page, and scarce thus.
