Elmer Keith is the master when it comes to writing about sixguns. He led a colorful life as a cowboy, professional hunter / guide and most importantly as a gun writer for many years. He and his contemporary Jack O'Connor lived through the colorful years of the west during the 30,40 and 50's and knew how to portray their expieriences in their writings. This book is a classic which the afficinado of sixguns must have in his library. Unfortunately not many contemporary gunwriters (with the possible exception of John Taffin) have the knowlede and expierience of sixguns as Elmer Keith.
