Silver Lode - Forgettable Stuff

by 7pagodas on Jun 3, 2012

Theoretically inspired by High Noon and posing as an allegory about McCarthyism, Silver Lode is pretty dull, regardless of all that. John Payne, who wasn't usually this bad, is the tall, dark, handsome and stoic hero. If he were more talkative, there wouldn't be any story at all. Dan Duryea, the lying "marshall," isn't particularly convincing, either. Watch High Noon one more time and skip this one.
