The only reason anyone buys a sixty year old version of a travel guide is because the content contains much interesting material not available in the modern guides. As a guide to where to stay and eat, it is useless; as a source of data about what you are seeing, it is priceless. The internal maps are much better for getting a feel for the terrain than the maps in the modern Blue Guides.
