SIGNED and inscribed by Peter Hujar on the title page and rare thus. The book is in nearly fine condition, no markings at all apart from Hujars inscription. The top and bottom of the covers are a bit faded. The original dust jacket has the price ($17.50) unclipped, there is one small chip at the top of the spine affecting the first letter of the title, one short (about one inch) closed tear to front panel. and general edgewear. Issued simultaneously in cloth and paper, this cloth edition is hard to find, and very scarce signed, The only monograph on Peter Hujar to be issued in his lifetime.

A spectacular copy of this incredible collection of portraits of the living and the dead by Peter Hujar. Beautifully printed and scarce, especially in this beautiful condition. Introduction by Susan Sontag. A great book.
