Very Good. No Jacket. 24mo-over 5"-5¾" tall. Publisher's '1894' date on title page. A handsome copy hard bound in publisher's decorated brown cloth covers. Illustrated by 64 plates. Spine ends and corners lightly worn. Otherwise a tight, clean, complete copy with clean internals.
Fair. Oblong 8vo Eleventh edition . Guide to bird identification, illustrated with 64 black and white plates. Brown cloth lettered and decorated in black, red, and yellow. Covers rubbed at the extremities with light fraying to the corners and spine ends, hinges internally cracked but secure, transparent stain to upper and outer margins throughout most of the book, not interfering with the printed areas, personal bookplate on front pastedown, no other markings.
Fifth edition. Oblong, 5.5"H x 7.5"L. Brown cloth with three-color decorative cover and spine. 224ppgs. Previous owners bookplate and signature inside front cover. (John Gould Jennings) Signature also appears on ffep. Illustrated with many b/w photographs of mounted specimens. Very good/no dust wrapper. Corners and spine tips are lightly bumped, binding tight, interior clean and unmarked with no foxing. Probably one of the earliest basic birdiing guides with photographs.
