Dustjacket is in Poor condition with nicking, creasing and area where sticker was torn off of front cover. Spine has heavy creasing and chipping at head, moderate at tail. Back cover has slightly darkened, light creasing/nicking. Dj flap joints have chipping at corners, wear along length of joints and front flap looks to be price-clipped. Dj is wrapped in clear plastic. 253 pgs.

Few small dogears. Inscription ("Christmas 1950") to half-title. Front free endpaper removed, else very good. DJ: tanned, especially spine. Chips to top and base of spine and extremities, few small tears and creases. Light stain to back panel near spine.

Being a huge Ruark fan I was disappointed in this book. It seems to be a collection of short stories and just doesn't seem to fit his later writing style that I enjoy so much. I'll try and read this one again at a later date...maybe then I can enjoy it more.
