This book is really one of Karen Kingsbury's finest! The characters are extremely well developed, and, as the plot evolves, you can't put it down! And the storyline is totally relevant for today! I love the way Karen starts with Moses and Joshua and the transfer of leadership at the onset and then develops the story so the reader can see the poignancy and importance of prayer, obedience and determination in overcoming the plots and intents of evil. One of the things I really like about this book is how Karen shows through the character of Jordan Riley that the anger and fervency he felt and then demonstrated against God was really born out of hurt and disappointment that just needed to be confronted and healed by the Great Physician!
