The top edges of the endsheets are just a little sunned, and the front pastedown has a small scribble and notation. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with moderate soiling. There are several short closed tears in the lightly chipped edges. Hardcover with dustjacket, this later printing includes the addenda and the Pierce Journal, the book is in excellent condition, the brown cloth binding looks new, the binding is tight and square and the contents are flawless, there are no remarkable book flaws, the dustjacket has one tiny tear on the spine and the cream colored background is a slightly lighter shade on the spine, this flaw is so slight that it can be termed inconsequential, the jacket is clean and quite pleasing to the eye, the original price (4.50) is present, and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, book is illustrated with a frontis plate of Benedict Arnold, an end-paper map and two additional maps, one of which is a double-page color map of the Lake Megantic Region, nice gift/collector's copy.
