Have read many books on the Romanovs and Rasputin. This was written by one of the perpetrators of Rasputin's murder. It certainly doesn't have professional polish in its construction or writing style, but the frankness and self-deprecating commentary by the author regarding his world of unbelievable wealth and splendor and excess lends to the believability of the story. A quick read to get perhaps the only actual accounting of how Rasputin died and a hint of the breadth of hatred for that man within the royal family.
