I purchased this book because I had received it at age 9 in 1971 as a gift from a close friend of our family, who became my mentor when my father died when I was 14. It got lost in one of my many moves, and I remembered it and wanted to read it as adult to revisit what I read 43 years ago.
The book contains useful advice about the technology and products of that era, much of which remains true today. However, in many cases technology and its influence on product capabilities make some of this obsolete.
It is also interesting to read the passages about gun rights, which harken back to a day before school shootings and seem to center on the right to own arms for sporting purposes as well as using them to join a militia when 'the big one' comes.
For the price of the book today, it is worthwhile to read it to get some good advice and perspective. I enjoyed the trip back in addition to the early statement of some axioms of shooting and some good, sound advice.
