One of 1590 copies on velin pur chiffon de Johannot from a total edition of 2000. 8vo. Handsomely bound in 3/4 blue-green morocco and green paste-paper boards, blind-stamped with graph design wrapped around upper and lower covers, spine smooth, title gilt, top edge gilt, original covers bound in, fine. Illustrated with four double-page drawings in pen and watercolor after Touchet plus 71 drawings in-texte. Printed on the presses of Editions de l'Ouest, the color executed in pochoir by the publisher. Knock, a three-act comedy, was performed for the first time at the Comedie des Champs-Elysees on the 15 December, 1923 under the direction of Jacques Hebertot, with mise-en-scene and decor by Louis Jouvet, who also acted in the play.
