I have read many books on discipleship and Christian Living but this is the absolute best for understanding the core of what discipleship is, how you make disciples and most importantly how Jesus made disciples.
The 5 characteristics of a disciple and the 4 stages of discipleship are the best understanding I have ever seen of what Jesus was doing with His disciples.
My only concern is that Hull doesn't bring the 5 characteristics out more in the majority of the book where he is focused on the 4 stages.
Hull has other books on discipleship including his newer "The Complete Book of Discipleship" but the others miss the depth of looking into the Scriptures and seeing what Jesus did and how He did it rather than just giving the principles behind what He did.
I have read the book through 3 times in the last 15 months and I am currently taking a small group of believers through it in my home. It's that good and that important!
