Very Good. Very light wear to edges of cover and at outer spine. Slight tilt to text block at spine, few light reading creases, tiny tear at base of front cover. A very clean copy, inside and out. Nice looking copy, overall. Solid binding. Insightful biography about one of America's classic hollywood icons, told by a man who knew him well. Great read.
Near Fine. The paperback issue. Close to near fine copy in pictorial printed wrappers. (Traces of shelf wear at edges & spine. Small nick at base of front cover. Couple page tips lightly creased) Nice copy overall. The most sought after of all the early books on the actor. (LR)
Good + in Good + jacket. Hardcover in dust jacket. First printing of first edition. Book and price-clipped dust jacket are both well worn, though intact. Pages are clean; photos are bright. Edges of boards are worn through. Jacket is taped to itself on flaps. Spine is starting at rear, though holding firm. Front free and rear endpages have red writing and scars from pocket removal. Title page and a few at rear have a small library stamp. Still a sturdy, clean copy of a scarce, desirable item. Small 8vo. 153 pp.
