A fine biography
Allen Barra has written a fine book seperating fact from legend, pro and con, concerning Wyatt Earp. Barra presents the facts of Earp's life, and contrasts them with the many distortions, exagerations and fabrications that constitute our perception of Wyatt Earp. The book is pro Earp, but gives us a look at a decent, but, perhaps, flawed man. Barra also looks into the origins of many falsehoods spread about Earp. My only problem with this book is the number of typos. The book is well written, but might have been better edited.
