Getting back to who You are
Intuitive Eating is a good book for anyone who's been plagued by too much dieting information, body self-esteem discouragement, or who has dieted enough that they feel their eating is out of control-- or too in control. Intuitive Eating is about rediscovering food, what you like, what you don't like, who you are as a person. It puts a healthy lifestyle into perspective and allows you to enjoy food in a way you never have before. When I told one friend about the book, she replied with something like, Doesn't everyone do that? The problem is, some of us have to learn how to trust our bodies. If I could say one thing about Intuitive Eating, I would say it's about trusting your body. That's what it means by intuitive, knowing what to eat and when without having to consult a dieting book, count calories, or wonder what you should eat.
