A large format, special editon of the original storybook by Dr. Seuss. With wacky rhymes and zany artwork, it tells the tale of the disgruntled Grinch and his fiendish attempts to steal Christmas from the citizens of Who-ville. Hilariously funny and wildly inventive, Universal Pictures' blockbuster movie Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, starring the irrepressible Jim Carrey (of The Mask and The Truman Story fame), directed by Ron Howard (Apollo 13 and Happy Days), and scripted by the writers of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, promises to be the Christmas movie of the year, and many years to come. The film will be supported by a massive marketing and publicity campaign, starting in the Summer and building up to a crescendo of activity by the UK release date of 1 December 2000. Events include nationwide bookshop promotions and advertising campaigns on TV and radio, on-line, in print, and in-stadium (including the Olympics!). Major promotional partners include one of the leading burger chains, and an extensive merchandising programme comprises a wealth of consumer products from toys, gifts and interactive video games to clothes and household goods.

Now a feature film staring Jim Carey as the Grinch, How the Grinch Stole Christmas takes you into Whoville, with Cindy Loo Who, who's no more than two. And her adventure trying to turn the Grinch good again. Funny!

A Treasure All Year
Dr. Seuss shines brightly in this holiday favorite. This story explores feelings of rejection, oddity, peace, love, and forgiveness. I recommend this story for the entire family anytime of year. We need to keep the lessons of the Who's in our hearts everyday. This book is a must for every home library, for every age. This is a super book by the splendiferious Dr. Seuss!
Publishers Weekly, 2007-10-22 Half a century after it was first published, Dr. Seuss's holiday classic returns in How the Grinch Stole Christmas Anniversary Edition: A 50th Anniversary Retrospective, which includes 32 pages of commentary by Charles Cohen, as well as behind-the-story artwork and photographs.
