Book is in good condition with edgewear, rubbed spine ends, a couple of discoloration spots on page margins, gift inscription to previous owner inside the front cover, and yellowing pages. DJ is in fair condition with significant edgewear, scuffed/discolored cover, numerous tears/creases along edges, corners, and spine ends.
DAVID HENDRICKSON. Hardbound second edition published by the HOUGHTON MIFFLIN COMPANY (Mass. ) in 1937. 117 pages of clean, bright, illustrated text. Page # 17 has an open tear in the margin, not effecting the text. With the exception of the aforementioned tear the text is unblemished. The illustrations are by David Hendrickson. The covers and the spine are red in color. The Title and the Author's names are embossed into the front cover and the spine in gilt. The covers are lightly soiled with wear to the edges. A small tear is noted at the front edge of the lower spine end. The binding is tight with no apparent structural damage. The publication is rated Very Good.
