Printed in 3--column format on fine paper. All edges gilt. Inscription on fep in Victorian writing in ink: "To Lonie (? ? ) from affectionate sister Maggie" and dated Nov 16th 1878.

Gift inscriptions on prelims. Slipcase-good, in stiff card with a little rubbing to corners and edges. Has the Oxford Press title label pasted to bottom of slipcase. These books are of unequal sizes so the Oxford Uni Press inserted an inner shelf for the smaller (Prayer) book to rest on and thus they appear to be a match! Neat idea! Both books are illustrated with full colour frontis and other colour plates.
