Not what I thought at all. Thought it was going to be a children's version of the movie. Will take to the used book store.

I recently gave this book to a former student who lost his grandmother. His mom stopped me on campus and was extremely excited to tell me how much this book not only touched him but also 7 other members of their family! This is a true story of a little boy who visited Heaven and tells about it in simple yet precise terms....from the mouth of a child....Jesus really, really loves the little children! This book will bring you comfort and hope!

Was disappointed in the book for the price. Only took about 10 mins. to read the whole book; was expecting more.
Publishers Weekly, 2011-09-19 The bestselling book is adapted for children, which makes sense since the story involves a child, Colton Burpo, who told his parents he visited heaven during a life-threatening surgery when he was three. Heaven is filled with angels and also animals; Colton reported playing with dogs, cats, elephants, and kangaroos, and saw Jesus riding a big white horse, to which illustrator Ong gives a rainbow mane. It's all very kid-friendly. Parents who bought and liked the adult version of the story will likely buy this for their, or someone else's, kids; a gift inscription page is included. Ages 4-8.
