Detailed and colorfully illustrated story of George Washington as a boy and young man. The authors are credited to be the first artists in the United States to return to the early craftsmen's method and make picture books by drawing the color illustrations directly on stone, giving the published versions the appearance of being the original. A scarce title and uncommon in complete and bright large format dustjacket. Near Fine in Near Fine dustjacket, original $2.00 price at front flap, flap edges with mild wear, spine ends with few tiny nicks and mild wear. An attractive copy.
