Good. The book has been read but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact and the cover is intact. Some minor wear to the spine. 256p. ; 18 cm. Originally published, New York: Holt, 1953; London: Hutchinson, 1954. Includes index.
Fair. Book 1974 Tandem paperback. Considerable wear, esp to cover, but binding sound; a good reading copy. A fairly level headed account of the UFO scares of the 1950s, but why do UFOlogists have such a problem understanding the idea of Einstein's unified field theory?
Fair. A readable copy of the book which may include some defects such as highlighting and notes. Cover and pages may be creased and show discolouration. 256p. ; 18 cm. Originally published, New York: Holt, 1953; London: Hutchinson, 1954. Includes index.
Good in Fair jacket. Stated first edition. Black cloth in price clipped jacket. 276 pp including index. A detailed examination of UFO's and flying saucer sightings in the 1940's and early 50's United States, with the author concluding, based on his analysis of the evidence available, that they were of extraterrestrial origin. Keyhoe draws on US Air Force records, as well as other sources. Donald Keyhoe was a major in the USMC, and wrote widely on this subject. FAIR jacket on a GOOD book. Heavy chipping, tearing, and creasing along the jacket extremities, with some areas of loss along the corners and spine tips. General fading, with some creasing and soiling, to the jacket, with a bit heavier soiling to the rear panel. Old yellowed tape repair along the upper front hinge and interior hinge, with a small tape repair at the upper right front corner. General fading to the book, with some scuffing, minor soiling and edgewear. Interior clean and solid with minor toning to the paper. Previous owner's signature present.
For movie bufffs thios would be an interisting read only because the reader can see the elements that would become Earth Vs. the Flying Saucers. For what is depicted as true saucer sightings its a great look as US history.
