Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is used to danger and adventure; they follow her at every turn. But when international murder hits dangerously close to home, this could be more explosive than exciting...Once Stephanie steps on the plane from Hawaii to Newark, she hopes to put her hellish holiday behind her. But when her seatmate mysteriously disappears during the stopover in LA - to be found later in a garbage can - things are only going to get worse. Only one other person has seen the missing photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying - and it just so happens to be Stephanie Plum. Now she's the target, and she doesn't want to end up in a garbage can...More to the point, she still has to deal with the fallout from Hawaii. Both the men in her life refuse to talk about it and all Stephanie will say is...It's complicated.

Another great book by Janet Evanovich with her character, Stephanie Plum. It is so funny and enjoyable. I love her books and looking forward to the next book. I have read all her other books. I highly recommend them.

This was such a fun book to read. I was not sure how I would like it after the ending of the previous book, but it was done very well.

With a different writing style this time but still the Stephanie Plum series style! Fun, mystery and intrigue.
Publishers Weekly, 2012-01-30 Lorelei King continues to shine as the narrator of Evanovich's long-running series about feisty New Jersey bail bondswoman Stephanie Plum. The wry humor of the book is evident from King's rendition of the opening lines: "New Jersey was 40,000 feet below me, obscured by cloud cover. Heaven was above me, obscured by the thin skin of the plane. And hell was sitting four rows back." Plum's flight home from Hawaii is typically atypical; instead of a relaxing trip, a neighboring passenger vanishes while the aircraft stops in Los Angeles, and a mysterious photograph he was carrying becomes the subject of an intense clash between the bad guys and the FBI-with Plum caught in the middle. King-who enhances the text with her spot-on narration-has no equal when it comes to voicing characters of the opposite sex, and her pacing perfectly matches the book's breezy tone. Listeners new to the series will want to seek out the previous 17 installments. A Bantam hardcover. (Nov.) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved.
