Good+ Musty. Book's spine is darkened but lettering is clear. Large dark stain on back cover, binding is generally rubbed but shows only very minor edge wear and the hinges are sound. Gift note from 1916 on ffep. Endpapers are lightly age-stained. Two small, dark stains on the bottom fore edges of the last few pages, else contents are clean and unworn. No DJ.; 7-3/8" Tall, VII + 267pp. Blue cloth with dulled-silve r spine & front cover lettering and illustration. This is the original 1905 publication, not a recent reprint. JUVENILE. Very brief stories which are used to introduce children to hundreds of varieties of butterflies, moths, flies, fleas, beetles, social bees, solitary bees, mason and miner bees, social wasps, solitary wasps, ants, gallflies, ichneumons, the horntail, and sawflies.
