Very good. A Manual of the Phanerogams and Pteridophytes of Western Texas. 3 plates. 588pp. + 201 leaves. 8vo, rebacked in burgundy cloth; hinges reinforced. Washington: Government Printing Office, 1891-94. First Edition. Very good. A pioneer study, of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Division of Botany, being Volume 2 of Contributions from the U.S. National Herbarium. In this copy there has been bound in at the end about 200 ruled leaves, apparently for the purposes of annotation. Only a few leaves have been utilized, page one containing hand sketches in pencil of native plants, and laid in two additional sketches on a piece of loose-leaf tracing paper.
