Not bad but not what I expected

The book reads well and quickly. The subject matter is fairly diverse, but centers on the daily life of farmers and topics such as the development of tracktor farming and the quirks of some tracktors. Oftentimes, not very inspiring details. But the author has a fairly good sense of humour. The chapter on French cuisine is very funny. And other parts of the book are also quite entertaining. Overall, I didn't get an impression of the "virtues" of this life, as such the book wasn't convincing or tried to be. I believe a more appropriate title would be "My thoughts on farming and being a modern farmer". It was not what I was looking for.
