Book was in excellent condition as stated by seller.
A modest but detailed description of the war in Europe and Africa by a top commander. Gave new insights to an old story. Well worth reading.

Real and outstanding
Almost reads like a novel, and more than exciting. Not so much an "inside" book, but one that tells the action and movement of the African and European fronts that Bradley was involved in. Some interesting comments on other famous generals, but no slapping around anyone.

An absolutely wonderful book! If you are interested in the personal as well as the professional soldiers desires, his doubts, his conflicts with decisions given to him , this is the book I would recommend. The style and manner of writing in captivating, making this book difficult to put down. My husbands first copy of this book is so worn out, I had to get him a hard copy. Truly an in depth review of the war, personal as well as professional. What a humble man!
