Dark Greene

by leevyne on Jun 6, 2013

Greene uses the title term, used to refer to leprosy victims whose degeneration has ceased as they live on to characterize his protagonist, who has left his European life behind and lives near an African leper colony. All the great Greene themes co-exist here, and it is compelling but sad reading. A contribution to the language and our literature.
